Is it safe to fix my iPhone at a third-party repair shop like Cell Phone Zone VA?

Considering that device manufacturers such as Apple make a tidy profit from cell phone repairs and services, it’s not a stretch of the imagination to understand why they would prefer their customers come to them for repairs versus going to an independent, third-party repair facility. However, the truth of the matter is that third-party facilities offer parts and services that are as good, if not better than, manufacturer repair facilities.
– Training. Apple will have you believe that their training programs are reserved for their technicians. However, many of the training courses and certifications earned by third-party technicians are equal or better. In fact, many technicians that work at independent repair facilities often come from large manufacturers.
– Parts. While it is true that Apple generally doesn’t sell OEM (original equipment manufacturer) parts to third-party facilities, independent shops can still get their hands on the parts they need by harvesting them from broken phones that people trade or turn in.
– Repairs. Manufacturers mostly target repairs that are quick and easy to do, providing them with the most profit per repair. For example, if there is a problem with the circuit board of the phone, instead of making the necessary repair by replacing components, they will simply swap out the whole board, which can be very expensive. Independent shops will tackle repairs that manufacturers won’t, even down to the board level. In fact, a lot of manufacturer technicians don’t even have the same tools independent stores have.
– Warranty. Contrary to popular belief, manufacturers cannot legally void your phone’s warranty just because the case has been opened. What’s even more important to know is that most independent shops will provide you with their own warranty on parts and labor when they service your phone.
Cell Phone Zone has the parts, the skilled technicians, and the tools to diagnose and repair almost any problem you may have with your iPhone. In addition, we can usually turn your repair around the same day you bring us the problem, sometimes in as little as one hour. And if your manufacturer warranty has expired, we won’t gouge you with additional costs. You’ll get the same great price and service whether you bought an extended warranty from Apple or not.
Come give us a try. We’ll take good care of you and your iPhone.
